Today’s Mid-Kentucky Kennel Club show opened the sport’s
biggest weekend, the Kentuckiana Cluster in Louisville KY. With almost 2700 dogs entered, the show drew many
of the nation’s top dogs.
However, only two of judge James Noe‘s finalists are
currently in the Top 50 dogs all breeds, testament to the fierce competition at
the breed and group level. The seven
that made it through were the Irish Setter, CH Militza’s My Cherie Amour, 15”
Beagle, CH Tashtins Lookin For Trouble, the Alaskan Malamute, GCH CH Peace River Silverice
Summer Solstice, the Smooth Fox Terrier, GCH CH J'Cobe Broxden Shark Dressed
Man, Pug GCH Caper's Sirius Endeavor, the Chinese Shar-Pei, GCH CH Shine's Deck
The Halls, and the Old English Sheepdog, GCH Bugaboo's CH Picture Perfect.
The dog getting all those points was the OES, Swagger. The dog getting the Reserve award and the
photo op was the Beagle, Miss P. Is
Swagger’s 12th BIS of the year big enough to make him the Number One
Dog in the US? We will have to wait to
hear the rest of today’s results before we can tell you.
