GCH CH Claircreek’s Impression de Matisse
The big Chicago weekend kicked off yesterday with the Park
Shore Kennel Club show. The day ended
with the match up that everyone wants to see, the Number One Dog & Number
Two Dog All Breeds in the same final.
The Old English Sheepdog, GCH CH Bugaboo’s Picture Perfect, and the Portuguese Water Dog, GCH CH
Claircreek’s Impression de Matisse, were joined in judge Dr Al Krause’s final
by the English Cocker, GCH CH Foxwoods Dublin Diva, the Saluki, GCH CH
Sandstorm Blue Nile Bubbles Of Jatara, the Smooth Fox Terrier, CH J’Cobe Broxden Shark Dressed Man, the Chinese
Crested, GCH CH Dejavu I Want A Talk About Me, and the Chinese Shar-Pei, GCH CH
Shine’s Deck the Halls.

The nation’s Top Two would finish just that way with the
Portie, Matisse, taking the BIS, and the OES, Swagger, the RBIS. Matisse now has 16 BIS in 19 final
appearances this year, the best batting average of any dog in the last decade. Nonetheless, the win was not large enough to
overtake Swagger. With three more
head-to-head meetings between our Top Two this weekend, Chicago is an
opportunity not to be missed for fanciers in the area.
