The Champlain Valley Kennel Club opened the three day
weekend in West Springfield MA and asked judge Dana Cline to name a BIS and
RBIS. His seven hopefuls were the Irish
Water Spaniel, GCH CH Whistlestop’s Riley on Fire, the Afghan Hound, GCH CH
Exlysta Aries Ciel Noir, the Portuguese Water Dog, GCH CH Claircreek’s
Impression de Matisse, the Airedale, GCH CH Joval Angel’s Whisper, the Pekingese,
GCH CH Yakee Easily Persuaded, the Standard Poodle, CH Dawin Wildrose Raisin'
The Stakes, and the Briard, GCH CH Deja Vu Mia Cool As A Cucumber.

Best In Show was the IWS, Riley. Reserve Best In Show went to the PWD,
Matisse, who had braved the bad weather to travel the 925 miles to travel overnight
from Wheaton IL. Riley is America’s
Number One Sporting Dog and Number Five Dog All Breeds with 23 BIS in 78 trips
to the final ring this year.
