GCH CH J’Cobe Kemosabe Vigilante Justice
We don’t have all the details, but we can tell you that the Smooth Fox Terrier, GCH CH J’Cobe Kemosabe Vigilante Justice, has just collected his 70th career all breed BIS tying the record for the Breed set by CH Torquay S Demetrio. It happened today at the Roanoke Kennel Club show in Salem VA under Ann Hearn. Congratulations to breeders William Dalling & Stacy Turner, and owners Sandra & Howard Hoffen & Phil & Amy Booth.
Congratulations to Amy and Dodger on tie the record for Smooth Fox Terrier.I hope you remember this moment and enjoy it for the rest of your lifes. It must be something epsecially since this dog comes from your own kennel and breeking lines.I hear that Dodger half sister did great on the first day at the Bismark,North Dakota dog show this weekend.Congrats on that too Amy.
ReplyDeletecongratulations on a well deserved win & best of luck tomarrow.
ReplyDeleteWOW this dog and handler are on fire! Must be a wonderful feeling to have your breeding be so successful! Congrats to the Bluerose team and to Amy and Phil for their dedication to what they do!!!! Focus girl!!!!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations!!!! Dodger is the most correct example of a smooth that I have ever seen!!! Amy is the best handler I have ever seen ( and a very nice lady as well)!!!! It could not happen to a more deserving team!!!
ReplyDeleteYou haven't seen very many smooths, have you Sarah?
ReplyDeleteIt would be interesting to see the ratio of breed wins:breeds losses for both Demetrio and Dodger. I think it would educational.
ReplyDeleteThe last anonymous note was from a Troll. Thought this was a Troll Free Zone. Said in very bad taste and poor sportsmanship.
ReplyDeleteBehind every successful team is a pack of haters.
A bunch of jealous trolls are getting to make jabs.
ReplyDeleteHonestly, I cannot understand why every Smooth Fox fan isn’t celebrating today. A new breed record is something all of you can be proud of, especially when the current record holder is the Number One Dog in AKC, especially when you have two splendid examples of the breed in the all breed top ten. I did let the anonymous troll post the above comment solely so I could add this comment…I don’t know how many Smooth Fox Sarah has seen, but this Terrier owner has seen a few in his over 40 years in the dog game and I think Dodger is a wonderful representative of the breed and what a top AKC show dog should be. He may not be our anonymous troll’s ideal interpretation of the standard, but 71 All Breed BIS judges disagree with him/her.
ReplyDeleteHere we go again hiding behind the infamous annynomous post. First and foremost, any of the top winning Smooths past or preesent were well derserving of their wins. As Dodger's owner and sometimes handler :), and Amy's husband, I would be more than happy and proud to compare a won/lost ratio, groups to BIS ratios, size of shows won, competition defeated, length of time to achieve the record, etc. I guess what I am saying is I understand differences in intricacies and preferences in breed type, style, showmanship, etc. But really? 71 BISs, (2010 - 40 Bests and 80 Group. 1s), #1 Terrier, currently #1 Dog all-breed...how bad can he be?
ReplyDeleteI don't in anyway wish to take away from previous winners or current winners in our breed. As I said before, I understand personal preference. But I find it completely ridiculous to try to imply Dodger or any of the other current or past winners are not good representatives of their breed.

I think Dodger is a stunning dog, and rumor has it that Dodger & Amy are simply fantastic in the ring together. Congrats to Camp Dodger.
ReplyDeleteAs for Dodger not being a good representative of the breed - people always find fault with winners.
I'm personally drawn more to Adam, but that in no way diminishes the respect I have for Dodger & Amy; they deserve to be lauded.
I have seen both at the Garden and although I like Adam and a couple others, I had to agree with the judge on the day and I too would have chosen Dodger. Sorry Amy but that dog doesn't even need a handler and wins all on his own. Guess that's why we have dog shows and judges. Everyone has an opinion. Breeders should be proud of the quality in that breed right now.
