The big news this weekend was the big numbers in Houston where the Houston Kennel Club, Beaumont Kennel Club, & Galveston Kennel Club drew over 7500 entries for the three days. That meant that Group wins were as big as many BIS this year. Even the dogs getting group placements were making serious advancews in the rankings. We gave you Friday’s complete results and the BIS winners from Saturday & Sunday. Here’s the rest of the highlights.
Saturday, at the BKC event, BIS winner, the Black Cocker Spaniel, GCH CH Casablanca’s Thrilling Seduction was accompanied in Houston Clark’s final by the Whippet, GCH CH Starline’s Chanel, getting her 100th Hound Group top prize, the Kuvasz, CH Mattiaci High Voltage At Glacier Creek, the Smooth Fox Terrier, CH Slyfox Sneaks A Peek, the Pekingese, GCH CH PalaceGarden Malachy, the Standard Poodle, GCH CH Dawin Spitfire, and the Cardigan Welsh Corgi, CH Heart Of Gold Power Play. Sunday, Five of Saturday’s finalists were back with the Standard Schnauzer, CH Shalimar's Golden Ticket, & the Canaan Dog, CH Mad River Cool Breeze Blowing, to see Eric Ringle give the big Poodle, Jetta, the big prize.

Billy,
ReplyDeleteI don't remember seeing Friday's complete group info. Where is
it listed? Thanks!! What a line up down there!! The reason I am
curious is because the Number 1 and Number 2 pekes were there
and I am wondering if they went head to head.
DeAnn
Friday's write up can be seen at http://dogshowpoop.blogspot.com/2010/07/its-all-big-in-texas.html.
ReplyDeleteI don't know if Malachy was there on Friday, but Hiram & Noel went BOB & G2. I don't know if Noel was there Sat & Sun, but Malachy went BOB & G1 both days.
Thanks so much!! I don't know if I'll make it to NY to see them in the ring
ReplyDeletetogether!!!
What a line-up indeed! In addition to these Peke's, I also heard that the 2 top smooths were there - with Amy winning the Terrier Specialty leading up to the all-breed shows, and Eddie and Adam winning the Terrier groups on Sat and Sun! WOW!
ReplyDeleteEddie and Lesley were only there with Adam for the all breed shows. Amy was only there with Dodger for the terrier specialties.
