We love it when one of our rare breeds gets a BIS. The Canaan Dog is 156th in the AKC registry and one of the best Cannan Dogs anywhere, CH Pleasant Hill Magnum Of Samara, was Paula Nykiel’s Best In Show today at the Echo Hills Kennel Club Of Ohio in Troy OH. Rounding out her final were the Weimaraner, CH Smokycity Nanis Dbl Silhouette, the Greyhound, CH Gaia Elfin Dance, the Samoyed, CH Stolicnaya, the Norwich Terrier, CH Saram Ma-Ya‘s My Sweet Valentine, the Pomeranian, CH Mountain Crest U Don’t Own Me, and the Standard Poodle, CH Jaset’s Satisfaction. We do think this was the first Herding Group One and all breed BIS this year for Mag, the 2010 Westminster Breed Winner and 2009 AKC/Eukanuba National Championship Breed Winner. Congratulations to breeder Donna Dodson, owner Pamela Stacey Rosman and handler Bruce Schultz.

Did Bruce and this dog fly to OH?
ReplyDeleteIt was the Canaan Dog National Specialty wise guy!

SERIOUSLY! You people need to get off this flying complaint. These handlers are doing their jobs and I'm pretty sure part of their job is to be sure the dogs are HEALTHY and CONTENT!! Otherwise , it makes for a lousy showdog. Lousy showdogs don't win. And in reality , all this complaining just sounds like petty jealousy!
ReplyDeleteDear Anonymous, Would it be a problem if Bruce did travel by plane to a dog show? Do you think he is following the BIS judge around the country?
ReplyDeleteIf he is East of New Mexico there is a good reason. ie. Nationals or The Garden
the sporting group winner's name or breed is wrong.
ReplyDeletethis is not Magnum's first group one of the year, he also won the group at Echo Hills KC on Saturday.
