CH J’Cobe Kemosabe Vigilante Justice
Michele Billings was in Kalamazoo MI for today’s Holland Michigan Kennel Club show and she drew some of the country’s best dogs. Her final included the Black Cocker Spaniel, CH Casablanca’s Thrilling Seduction, the Greyhound, CH GrandCru Clos Erasmus, the Newfoundland, CH Skipper’s Eminence King Of Helluland, the Smooth Fox Terrier, CH J’Cobe Kemosabe Vigilante Justice, the Blenheim & Prince Charles English Toy Spaniel, CH Royalist Ready To Reign, the Tibetan Terrier, CH Cedar C Barnstorm L&D Edition, and the German Shepherd Dog, CH Kridler Nutmeg V Signature, all multiple Best In Show winners. Yesterday he defeated one set of top ranked dogs to take the Best In Show in New Castle PA and today he bested a different set of top winners. It seems every time his top dog title is threatened Dodger & handler Amy Booth post another BIS. That’s 27 this year and two for two this weekend…and it’s just Friday.
I'm sorry Billy Wheeler, but it seems you are showing much favoritism. Maybe you should show the same sense for affection for all of the top dogs, and double check your Dogs2Watch list. Some are absent.
ReplyDeleteAh, I am a canine Will Rogers for I have truly never met a show dog I didn't like, owners yes, dogs, never. I do try to say something nice about every dog when they win a BIS. If one dog is winning a lot of BIS they do get more mention in the blog. I think after 2,000 posts I have established my reputation for being objective and fair. If you can point to the dog that has been slighted, let me know.
ReplyDeleteI'd like to see much less fuss about who's Number One, especially when the answer depends so much on the size of the owner's pocketbook and how much flying around the country they're willing to do. Insane, and your blog is contributing to it.
ReplyDeleteI'm not complaining about you blog site or your posts, but I do believe there are dogs missing from the dogs2watch list. Maybe we can send some more praise for dogs who aren't flying from one state to another on a daily basis. If they have that kind of money and want to spend it that way, congrats to them, but what about dogs who don't travel like that. The one that I think of instantly is the OES, Georgie Girl. A friend told me she was only shown like 5 weekends thru April this year and had like 10 bis's already. Doesn't that deserve to be on your dogs2watch list and a little recognition for such a stellar bis-to-show ratio? That's a breeding program that consistently puts out great dogs, they soar to the top in their breed, and they don't have to show every weekend or show in PA one day and MI the next. Good for them, and those who spend the most will probably be on top, but what about ones who win that consistently without flying around or following judges??
ReplyDeleteWhy must Dodger take such shameful beatings for being a successful dog. I saw no such cheap shots about Sadie last year. This blog is about the winners. Those who can't handle that should at least have the sense to keep quiet. Please!nn
ReplyDeleteBilly,
ReplyDeleteYou do a GREAT job about reporting the winners AND keeping it fun for us to read. So, Thank You for that. It is unfortunate, however, there are so many jealous people in the dog world. Just because a dog's owner happens to have alot of money you can't report about it? How insane is that? I do agree, Dog Shows are quick becoming the life of the rich and famous but if you can't handle that consept then get outta dogs!!!
Sounds like "annonymous" sour grapes again. Mr. Wheeler is more than fair!
ReplyDeleteGo Dodger!
Marty
Again, put your name out there when you're criticizing. We had this out a few weeks ago, and I thought we'd resolved the "hiding behind anonymous" issue.
ReplyDeleteI admit that the criteria for my DOGS2WATCH is a bit fuzzy. My list is pretty much subjective, very much like a movie critic’s ten best list. What I do look for is an up & coming dog that has been under the radar, that most fanciers have not heard of. CH Bugaboo Georgie Girl hardly falls into that category. She had seven BIS & 38 Herding Groups in 2009. I have taken note of her success this year, writing back on March 15th, “His Best was the OES, our nominee for the biggest surprise this season. In very limited showing she and handler Colton Johnson have collected four BIS and a top ten berth. Very well done.” I do agree that the Johnsons have a program that should be admired and I applaud them for their contributions to our sport.
ReplyDeleteI do believe PA on Thursday was the only dog show in the country that day and if Dodger is a contender for a top spot I see nothing wrong with him attending that show and then going to MI for the next four days where he lives. Also, look at mapquest, it was only a 5 hour drive from one show to the other. People need to check their facts before writing evil, mean, wicked, jealous comments. I believe Dodger was driven and not flown.
ReplyDeleteAgain Sadie and Spirit the 2 past #1 dogs flew a lot more than Dodger has!
Marty
what about the no. 2 dog in the nation that isn't on the dog2watch list?
ReplyDeleteFrom now on these chicken poop annonymous complaints should just be deleted. This is Mr. Wheeler's blog. You don't have to visit it or read it. It's obvious that the No. 2 dog is a contender and Mr. Wheeler posts wonderful comments for it too as he does for ALL best winners. Seriously. Grow up and stop having those of us that love this blog and all the winners defend them.
