On of our favorite Gulf towns is Corpus Christi TX where the Corpus Christi Kennel Club hosted two shows this weekend.
On Saturday Chuck Winslow did the BIS judging selecting from the Black Cocker Spaniel, CH K-J & Coldry Sherman Tank, the Wirehaired Dachshund, CH Rivendell Dark Side Of The Moon SW, the Samoyed, Metak's Jess't In Time, the Lakeland Terrier, CH Hi-Kel Terrydale Soldier Of Fortune, the Japanese Chin, CH Kelaury Good Luck From We-Syng, the Chow Chow, CH Dreamland's Light Up The Sky, and the Australian Cattle Dog, the Moonfly's Ice Blue Flame.
Day one belonged to Scott Sommer’s Lakeland, Ranger. Ranger and Scott have put together a string of BIS in the last few weeks that has them knocking on the door of the top ten.

Sunday, Ranger was back as was the Wirehaired Dachshund and the Chow. Also in Betsy Dale’s ring were the Golden Retriever, CH Crystal Glens Hell Freezes Over, the Affenpinscher, CH Tamarin Tug, and the Pembroke Welsh Corgi, CH Overo Secret Garden PT.
And it was the number eleven dog, the Affenpinscher, Taser, leaving his calling card with the top ten as he took home another BIS. We tell you folks, these two BIS winners know how to manage a campaign. We expect they both will be in the top ten before long.
