Monday is clean up day for us, the day when we fill in all the holes in our weekend reports. It gets confusing so we are going to move east to west starting with our Region One, the Northeast Region. We were able to give you complete results on this weekend’s Connecticut shows, but were only able to give you the results of Friday’s Chester Valley Kennel Club show in Ludwigs Corner PA.
Saturday’s show brought judge Houston Clark together with the Chesapeake Bay Retriever, Eastern Waters Chesmates Soters JH, the Afghan Hound, CH Shenandoah Smoke and Mirrors, the Rottweiler, CH Ecko Ridges American Justice VVon Wilhelms, the Airedale Terrier, CH Stirling Cool Hand Luke, the Italian Greyhound, CH Honore’s Liyl-Belle, the Shiba Inu, CH Banshou Go Ryuukyuu Uruma, Belgian Sheepdog, CH La Neige’s A Kodak Moment.
For the second time this weekend we are delighted to report a BIS by the breed that brought us into the game 40 years ago, the Afghan Hound. The five year old dog has been a top five Afghan for the last two years, but we believe this is his first all breed BIS. Congratulations to breeders Luke Guerrero, Hank Nave, Denise & Jerry Willeford and owners Wendy Slowe & L M Guerrero, and handler Norm Fargo.
Sunday the action moved to Lebanon PA under the Auspices of the Lancaster Kennel club. Judge Toddie (Mrs. Houston) Clark had some of the same dogs to consider as her husband. Returning to the BIS ring were Saturday‘s winner, the Afghan, the Airedale, and the Belgian Sheepdog. Also on hand were the English Springer Spaniel, CH Cerise Jesse James, the Doberman Pinscher, CH Allure Blazing Star Alisaton, the Pekingese, CH Lin-Lee’s For The Good Times, and the Schipperke, CH DeLamer’s Overboard.
And Mrs. Clark agreed with her husband that it was the weekend for the Afghan. Bravo for the back to back BIS. Next up, Region Two details.
