Whe...I completely disagree with "anonymous" above. When you see this dog in person and put your hands on him you find that he is a near perfect "standard" Norwich. Will be happy to provide a measuring tape for you. Of course there are quite a few quality Norwich exhibited today....some of whom have beaten him (although NOT many since he has fully matured in the past several months) but "dissing" this dog doesn't make those dogs any better than they are. You certainly have the right to your assessment but I have to say that those who disagree with your assessment comprise a significantly larger contingent than those who agree with you....this holds to be particularly true for most of the judges before whom this lovely dog has come.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-252655140818743030.post-78327356512818001702009-04-30T15:34:00.000-05:002009-04-30T15:34:00.000-05:00Interesting to see this dog awarded so many bests....Interesting to see this dog awarded so many bests. While he is a lovely specimen and very showy he deviates from the standard in that the Norwich Terrier standard states "Distance from the top of the withers to the ground and from the withers to base of tail are approximately equal." <br /><br />His length of back is more Norfolk like. The Norfolk standard states "Length of back from point of withers to base of tail should be slightly longer than the height at the withers."<br /><br />In any event, there are quite a few quality Norwich Terriers being exhibited today that have beat this lovely dog more then once and they deserved to do so.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-252655140818743030.post-58621530652442621942009-04-30T15:33:00.000-05:002009-04-30T15:33:00.000-05:00Interesting to see this dog awarded so many bests....Interesting to see this dog awarded so many bests.
